Timing Pulleys

This synchronous drive pulley started as a round stock of aluminum and was machined down on a CNC Lathe followed by a CNC Mill for the holes and pocket. Gear Hobbing was used to add MXL Pitch grovoes to the part and the keyway was done with broaching. The part was then black anodized to complete the design.

This synchronous drive pulley was first machined on a CNC lathe from round bar stock of aluminum. Gear Hobbing followed to cut Gates profile, 3mm GT grooves on the small section. A CNC Mill was utilized to machine the complex contour in the middle and a CMM was used to check tolerances. Black anodizing was the after all machining processes.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe and was then followed by Gear Hobbing to add grooves. A CNC Mill was used to add the square contour in the middle as well as through holes and threaded holes on the face. The part was finished off with a nickel coating.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe from aluminum slugs. It was then put for gear cutting where Gear Shaping was the method used to add pulley grooves. The face holes shown were done on a CNC Mill and the part went to a clear anodizing process to finish it off.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe and then on a CNC Mill to get all the faces holes and thread holes. A CMM was used to check the positioning of the holes to make sure they fall within the specification. Clear anodize was then applied to the final machined part.

This synchronous drive pulley went through machining on a CNC Lathe and Mill. After the threaded holes were tapped, this part went back on our Mazak Lathes so the bore can be opened to expose the thread. A taper bushing will be utilized with this pulley to secure onto a shaft.

This synchronous drive pulley started as two different parts. Both were machined on a CNC Lathe, and both went through a Gear Shaping process for the grooves. The two pulleys were then assembled with a steel flange to become what is shown above. The pulleys were black anodized while the flange was zinc plated.

This synchronous drive pulley went through a multitude of processes. First being machined on a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill to get the basic features done. After our Gear Hobbing process, this part was sent for hard coat anodize. Post process machining was done on our Mazak Lathes to clear the shank of any coating and then it was taken to our Mill where the slots were cut. To finish this, we assembled on two flanges.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined from a CNC Lathe from a bar stock of aluminum. Gear Hobbing was used to add grooves to the part and a small hub was pressed onto one end. Our CNC Mill was used to add threaded cross holes to finish the part.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe and then sent to Gear Shaping to add on pulley grooves. Assembly came next to added on the flange and the encoder as shown. The part had then gone through a Black Anodize process to be complete.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe followed by a CNC Mill to machine the holes and counterbores shown. A CMM was used to measure the holes diameters and positioning. The part went through a Gear Hobbing process and was finally given a Clear Anodize coating to complete the part.

This synchronous drive pulley started as a round bar of steel and then was machined down on a CNC Lathe. It then went through a Gear Hobbing process to cut an AT5 pitch pulley profile. Flanges were assembled to the part and then it was Electroless Nickel plated to complete the part.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined from round stock of aluminum. It then went through a multitude of operations on a CNC Mill. In between the milling operations, Gear Hobbing was used to cut grooves with a MXL pulley profile pitch. The part went through inspections on a CMM before it was finally coated Black Anodize.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill to get the drive shank and lighting holes features within specification. Gear Hobbing method was used to add pulley grooves to the part. The part finally went through a nickel coating to finish.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe from a round stock of aluminum. It then went through a few different operations on a CNC Mill where a CMM was used to check the features. The MXL pitch pulley profile was cut using a Gear Hobbing method. The part was then finished with a Clear Anodize coating.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe. Gear Hobbing followed right after to cut the MXL pitch pulley grooves. Flanges were then assembled to complete this part.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe. It then went through a Gear shaping process to cut the pulley grooves. The part was then coated with a nickel plating. Two flanges, also with a nickel coating, were assembled to the pulley. To finish the part, the hub was machined to free it of any coating.

This synchronous drive pulley was roughed out from a round stock of aluminum on a CNC Lathe. A CNC Mill was then used to machine the thread holes. The pulley then went back to a turning operation to bore out the insides to the final specification. Clear anodize was then applied to the piece.

This synchronous drive pulley went through a few turning operations on a CNC Lathe. Diameters had to be finished on both ends to meet the tolerance required. A CNC Mill was utilized to machine flats and holes on either side of the part. Finally, the Gear Hobbing process used to add pulley grooves to the small region.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe from round aluminum stock. The CNC Mill then machined the holes shown on the face. Pulley grooves were cut into the part using the Gear Hobbing method. After, the part went through a hard coat anodize process and was then placed back on a lathe to finish the shank diameters, which required to be free of coating.

The contour shown in the counterbore was also done in the same operation. To finish the piece, Gear Shaping operation was utilized to add pulley grooves.

It then went through Gear Hobbing to cut the pulley grooves. To finish the part, flanges were assembled, and the piece got a Clear Anodize coating.

This synchronous drive pulley started out on a CNC Lathe and then was followed by machining operations on a CNC Mill. On the mill, the holes and slots were machined as shown which were checked on a CMM. Pulley grooves were added to the part by Gear Hobbing. The part then went through a Chromate Conversion, MIL-C-5541 specification.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill. The pulley grooves were cut using a Gear Shaping method. The piece had gone through a Hard coat Anodize process and then went back to the CNC Mill where the center contour was machined. This contour was checked on the CMM to verify it meets within specification.

This synchronous drive pulley was made from two separate round stocks of aluminum. Both were machined on a CNC Lathe and then both went through Gear Shaping to cut pulley grooves. Both pieces were then assembled with a flange to complete the part.

The part was then sent to the CNC Mill to have the slots and hole put into the hub. Flanges were assembled and the piece received a Hard coat Anodize coating. After the coating, the bore was machined to be free of anodize and a screw was inserted to complete the part.

This synchronous drive pulley was machined on a CNC Lathe where the external thread was done as well. The part then went to a CNC Mill to add a threaded hole. Gear Hobbing was used to add pulley grooves to the part to complete the pulley.

The part then got a black hard coat anodize coating. The bore was then machined to be free of any coating.
